Science of Happiness
The Science of Happiness is a four part lecture style class to explore the hard evidence of being happier.
We will be exploring questions that are fundamental to our happiness levels such as: does money build happiness? How important is leisure? Can we increase our happiness levels? Is it ok to be selfish? What is the best way to handle negative emotions? Can a pessimist change?
This IS NOT a self help class. However, you will learn research based tools that can be applied to your life.
Class notes will be provided and weekly assignments will be given.
Curriculum
Beliefs Shape our Reality – Why is it our thoughts often become a self fulfilling prophecy. Self help has built it’s foundation on our thoughts creating reality. Is there any truth to these claims?
Living Authentically – There’s no greater joy in life than being who you truly are and remove the social masks we wear. This class will explore how to connect the outer and inner you.
Climbing the Mountain – The greatest moments in life often follow a struggle. Challenges can literally feel like hell. We will explore how to ride the waves of life and grow.
Creating Lasting Happiness – The pinnacle of the class will cover how to create higher levels of happiness and well being.
Classes will be held on August 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 7pm – 8:30pm
