Why Aren’t Your Workouts Working?

Most adults I coach through weight loss and lifestyle changes feel like they can’t get lasting results from their workouts.

There are many reasons why.

The most important aspect of finally breaking through to lose weight comes from breaking old programs in your brain.

You have a catalog of information in your brain telling you how to lose weight. The problem is most of it is inaccurate.

You’ve picked up tips through life from TV, magazines, and friends. Advice like: do lots of cardio, eat low fat, eat whole wheat, etc.

I’ve seen over and over how I can coach someone and get amazing results. The only time I see people derail is when they go off and start acting off of the old programs in their brain.

I was working with a woman and got her losing 2 pounds a week for a month. I had her STOP her cardio workouts and only weight train 2 times a week.

She then decided on her own to go back to running and the weight loss stopped.

My top priority as her coach was to SEE what she couldn’t. She was sabotaging her own success. It’s very hard for you or anyone to realize they are sabotaging themselves in the moment.

Another advantage my clients receive is Heart Rate Variability testing. This 5-minute test shows me if their nervous system is in an optimal state to workout and get results.

Most, if not all, of the clients I work with, are overtraining. Too much and too often. The result is no weight loss.

I’ll take a client and have them workout less often to see better results.

You see, your brain is likely running off an old program telling you it’s all about calories in versus calories out. It doesn’t work that way.

The question you should ask is “Am I burning fat right now?” IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW MANY CALORIES YOU BURN DURING A WORKOUT!!

SOME BASIC TIPS: quit your low-fat diet, cardio is WAY overrated, eat later in the day, eliminate grains, and eat more fat.
